Pressed wood fire logs — the modern alternative to traditional firewood logs. Ours are made from compressed NZ pine at our Ōtorohanga sawmill. No glues, no binders, no chemicals — just dry pine, pressed under huge pressure into a clean-burning fire log.

What "pressed" actually means

The pine sawdust and offcuts are fed through industrial presses at massive force. Under that pressure, the wood's natural lignin (its built-in glue) releases and binds the sawdust into a solid, uniform log. It's a 100% mechanical process — no synthetic binders, no fillers, no chemicals added.

The result is a fire log that performs better than traditional firewood across the board: drier, denser, hotter, cleaner.
